Keith R. McHugh joined Jacobson & Schwartz, LLP in 2016 as a senior trial attorney. He has spent most of his 27 years as an attorney with several small casualty defense firms in New York.
He has defended negligence actions brought against motorists, homeowners, commercial property owners, construction companies and governmental agencies.
Mr. McHugh is a zealous advocate for his clients and has tried many cases to a defense verdict in the counties comprising New York City. He is also an excellent legal writer who has drafted several successful appellate briefs. In addition to his work in the negligence defense field, Mr. McHugh spent five years as an Assistant County Attorney handling cases of child abuse and neglect representing the Suffolk County Department of Social Services. Mr. McHugh’s experience with prior associations gives him a unique ability to defend a wide array of actions.
